Nizhny Novgorod veteran of the special military operation launched the production of equipment for electronic warfare.

      May 19, 2026 15:05 Economy Veteran of the Special Military Operation from the Nizhny Novgorod region, Denis Fomichev, after returning from the front, opened a production of components for electronic warfare systems. He was able to start his own business with the help of a social contract for participants of the special operation, writes pravda-nn.ru. Before being sent to the SVO zone, the Nizhny Novgorod resident was engaged in scientific projects in the field of radio engineering. In 2023, he signed a contract and went to the front, where he served as a signalman and commanded a platoon. During his service, Denis received the medal "For Courage," and in December 2024, he was seriously wounded. After returning home, the veteran decided to continue helping the fighters by using his experience with military equipment. To develop his production, he contacted the Nizhny Novgorod branch of the "Defenders of the Fatherland" fund, where he was informed about the possibility of obtaining a social contract. According to Denis Fomichev, three weeks after submitting the documents, he received 350,000 rubles for business development. As reported by the regional ministry of social policy, this support measure is available for veterans of the SVO with unemployed or job-seeking status. A payment of up to 350,000 rubles can be obtained for starting a business. More than 40 people in the region have already benefited from such support.
