The effectiveness of 23 municipal programs was assessed in Nizhny Novgorod.

      May 19, 2026 15:49 Economy The deputies of the Nizhny Novgorod Duma assessed the effectiveness of the implementation of 23 municipal programs based on the results of 2025. The issue was discussed at a meeting of the permanent commission for economic development, industry, entrepreneurship, and tourism. As reported by the acting director of the department of economic development and investments, Yulia Masyukova, the total funding for the programs amounted to 74.3 billion rubles. At the same time, funds from higher-level budgets were attracted for the implementation of 13 programs. The share of the city's own funds was 45.2% — that is 33.6 billion rubles. The largest volumes of funding were allocated to education — 32 billion rubles, transport and road management — 16.3 billion, and housing and utilities — 7.3 billion rubles. An additional 4.7 billion rubles were directed to culture, and 3.5 billion to landscaping. An integral efficiency coefficient was calculated for each program. Following the assessment, all 23 programs were recognized as highly effective. The chairman of the city Duma, Evgeny Chintsov, stated that the main priorities for the city remain the development of human potential, infrastructure, and the economy. "This constant movement forward makes Nizhny Novgorod modern and comfortable for living," he noted. Separately, the deputies reviewed programs related to the development of the economy, tourism, small and medium-sized businesses, as well as international and interregional cooperation.
