Sber and the Nizhny Novgorod region will join forces to preserve cultural heritage with the help of digital solutions.

On May 19, 2026, at 12:05, Culture and Leisure. The cooperation agreement was signed by the manager of the Nizhny Novgorod branch of Sberbank, Natalia Demina, and the Minister of Culture of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Natalia Sukhanova.

As part of Sber's interaction with the region, the creation, preservation, and modernization of the cultural heritage of the Nizhny Novgorod region is planned, using digital solutions, including artificial intelligence technologies.

Natalia Demina, manager of the Nizhny Novgorod branch of Sberbank:

"The Nizhny Novgorod region is a center of vibrant cultural initiatives. We are pleased to enter a new stage of cooperation with the region. Our common goal is not just to preserve heritage but to make it accessible and interesting for every resident and guest with the help of modern technologies. Last year, at the CIPR conference, we already presented the reconstruction of the opera 'Victory over the Sun': the lost parts of the musical compositions were recreated using the SymFormer neural network, and Malevich's suprematism came to life on the screen behind the performers with the help of the Kandinsky neural network. We also released a publication with images of the All-Russian Exhibition of 1896 in color, which became possible thanks to artificial intelligence technologies. We see enormous potential in combining advanced digital solutions with the region's rich heritage."

Natalia Sukhanova, Minister of Culture of the Nizhny Novgorod region:

"The experience of recent years clearly shows that the strongest projects are always at the intersection of different spheres, different industries. This is a museum and theater, a museum and a university, theater and IT. Multiformat projects are precisely what we are currently focusing on, and the partnership with Sber will undoubtedly strengthen this direction. We are already working together within the framework of the 'Great All-Russian' exhibition, the key exhibition of this year."
