A 31-year-old worker was electrocuted during repairs in Nizhny Novgorod.

      On May 19, 2026, at 09:01, a 31-year-old worker was killed by electric shock while addressing an emergency at a sewage pumping station in the village of Cheremisksoye. This was reported by the press service of the State Labor Inspection for the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      The employee of a private company was pumping out water and conducting emergency repairs at the site. During the process, he was electrocuted. The ambulance crew that arrived on the call confirmed the man's death.

      An investigation has been initiated regarding the incident. A commission is determining the causes and circumstances of the accident.
