       The Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region Gleb Nikitin and the head of Rosseti Andrey Ryumin discussed the development of the region's electric grid complex at the CIPR conference, which started on May 18 in Nizhny Novgorod. The main topic of the meeting was the modernization of energy facilities, connecting new consumers, and improving the reliability of electricity supply, the press service of the government of the Nizhny Novgorod region reported.

       According to Gleb Nikitin, the program for updating the network infrastructure, which Rosseti has been implementing in the region for several years, has already helped significantly reduce the number of accidents and avoid serious disruptions during peak loads in winter. Now the region faces a new task – to provide energy not only to existing enterprises and residential areas but also to future construction sites and new productions.

       Andrey Ryumin reported that in 2026 the company will allocate more than 17 billion rubles for the development of the region's energy infrastructure. Plans include completing the reconstruction of the main substation that supplies the southeast of Nizhny Novgorod, as well as the Bogorodsky and Kstovsky districts. In addition, new facilities with a capacity of 110 kV will appear in Olgino and Novinki, where residential construction is actively underway. At the meeting, they also summarized the results of the technological connection work. By the end of 2025, more than 10,500 facilities, including schools, medical institutions, and new residential complexes, were connected to the electric grid. The parties also discussed the repair program: in 2026, funding for this work will be increased by more than 200 million rubles – to 3.2 billion rubles.
