The accident occurred at 06:26 on the stretch between the Okskaya and Metallist stations. The driver of the car entered the tracks in front of train No. 6802, which was traveling from Metallist to Nizhny Novgorod. The engineer applied emergency braking, but the distance was too short, and the collision could not be avoided. Preliminary reports indicate that only the driver of the car was injured, while the locomotive crew remained unharmed. The train was delayed for only nine minutes and continued its journey, with no impact on the schedule of other trains. The railway crossing does not forgive carelessness, so the GZhD once again reminds that traffic rules must be strictly followed here.
