About 42 million rubles have been allocated for the cleanup of the former "Korund" landfill in Dzerzhinsk.

      On May 15, 2026, at 18:58, Society In Dzerzhinsk, 41.6 million rubles will be allocated for the project to eliminate the landfill of the former PO/CHZ "Korunda." This is reported on the government procurement website.

      The landfill is located near house No. 2 on Science Street. It is included in the state register of objects of accumulated environmental damage. The area of the contaminated territory is about 8.8 hectares, with a preliminary volume of waste exceeding 403 thousand cubic meters. This includes industrial and solid municipal waste of hazard class IV. Recent traces of garbage placement have also been recorded on the territory.

      The procurement for the execution of design and survey works was announced by the engineering and ecological service of Dzerzhinsk. Funding is provided from the city budget. Applications for participation in the procurement are accepted until June 1. The results are planned to be summarized on June 4.

      The contractor will need to conduct a comprehensive engineering survey - geodetic, geological, ecological, and hydrometeorological studies, as well as an archaeological survey. Based on the obtained data, it is necessary to prepare project and working documentation for the elimination of the site and land reclamation.

      The documentation must include technical and biological stages of reclamation. The contractor must propose at least three options for landfill elimination with a techno-economic justification and select the optimal option together with the customer. The project must undergo state ecological expertise and verification of the accuracy of the estimated cost.

      The deadline for the work is until February 29, 2028, with the entire contract scheduled until June 1, 2028. The site is then planned to be included in municipal and regional ecological programs, as well as in the federal project "General Cleanup."
