Andrey Gneushev held a meeting to support participants of the special military operation in Semyonov.

On May 15, 2026, at 14:32, Society The First Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Andrey Gneushev, held an off-site meeting of the regional interdepartmental commission to support participants of the special military operation and their family members in Semyonov. Traditionally, the commission members met with veterans of the special military operation and relatives of SVO participants. Andrey Gneushev visited Galina Glazunova, the mother of Sergey Glazunov, a participant of the SVO who died while performing combat tasks. They discussed issues that require assistance from government authorities. In particular, the woman needs help with the calculation of payments and resolving utility problems. During meetings with SVO veterans, questions were raised that also require assistance. These included the processing of necessary documents in various life situations, providing support when contacting medical institutions, and household assistance. For example, Vadim Gumbin participated in the SVO since 2022 and returned home after being wounded. He is now starting to build his own house in the Semyonov district, and there are several questions that need to be resolved to ease this process for the young family. "The questions raised were absolutely diverse, and the main principle of our work is an individual approach to each hero and their loved ones. The situations discussed in Semyonov will be personally monitored by the head of the district, Dmitry Poluektov. It is the task of every municipal leader to personally engage in resolving the issues of fighters, SVO veterans, and their families. All regional agencies are also involved in the work for prompt responses to requests. I always pay attention to the fact that at almost every meeting with veterans, they first voice the requests of their combat comrades and their relatives from other municipalities if any of them currently need our help. All questions are already in progress," said Andrey Gneushev. The commission's work involved the Minister of Social Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Secretary of the Interdepartmental Commission Igor Sedykh, the head of the Nizhny Novgorod branch of the "Defenders of the Fatherland" fund, Ekaterina Generalova, the head of the Nizhny Novgorod Committee of Families of Warriors of the Fatherland, Inna Naumova, as well as representatives of relevant ministries and agencies in the region. At the meeting of the interdepartmental commission, all life situations raised by SVO participants and their family members were thoroughly examined, and a number of technical issues were discussed that would improve the quality of support measures provided. The head of the local self-government of the Semyonov municipal district, Dmitry Poluektov, reported during the commission's work on how the work with SVO participants and their families is organized in the territory. He spoke about interdepartmental cooperation with the military enlistment office, the social fund, and the regional branch of the "Defenders of the Fatherland" fund. The head of the Gorky district local self-government, Alexander Mudrov, also reported on how the issues of the families of fighters and SVO veterans, previously raised at the off-site meeting of the interdepartmental commission in Zavolzhye, are being resolved.
