In the first quarter of 2026, 39 people sought assistance in job searching, of which 20 found suitable vacancies. Former convicts were employed in housing and communal services, construction, light industry, and the manufacturing sector. Among the occupied positions are improvement worker, carpenter, abrasive products molder, locksmith, painter, loader, and others.

      Job seekers with criminal records have access to all support measures from the employment service. Career consultants conduct activities for psychological support, social adaptation, and career guidance, help choose suitable vacancies, prepare resumes, and prepare for interviews, and if necessary, direct them to retraining or upgrading qualifications. Convicts can learn about in-demand professions on-site and ask questions.

      "We closely cooperate with the Federal Penitentiary Service and visit correctional institutions. Consultations and job fairs in colonies help convicts get acquainted with the labor market before their release, understand employer requirements, choose a profession, and plan their future after returning to society. In the first quarter of 2026 alone, our employees held 10 mini-job fairs, which were attended by 160 convicts. This work is carried out within the framework of the state probation system, and the personnel center is a key link in its implementation, providing participants with assistance in employment and social adaptation," said acting director of the Nizhny Novgorod personnel center "Work of Russia" Elena Vidyaeva.
