Fire trains of the Gorky Railway are ready for the summer season.

As noted by the head of the Gorky Railway - a branch of JSC "Russian Railways" Sergey Dorofeyevsky, there are 26 fire trains on constant standby within the railway's boundaries. Each of them includes two water tank cars with a water supply of 120 tons and foam concentrate, as well as a pump car. Daily, 130 people take duty. The total staff of the train consists of 24 workers, and their total number is about 700 people. The duty shifts of such trains, together with railway workers, have already conducted fire-tactical exercises to practice actions in case of fires at infrastructure facilities. The fire trains are equipped with GLONASS navigation and communication modules, which allows tracking the location and movement of each of them. Additionally, as part of the preparation for the 2026 season, 14 water tank cars have been added to the combat crew in the most fire-prone areas.
