Nizhny Novgorod region and "Children's World" agreed on cooperation

      May 12, 2026 17:50 Economy The Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and the "Detsky Mir" Group signed a cooperation agreement at the Congress of the Children's Goods Industry (18+). The document was signed on behalf of the region by Governor Gleb Nikitin, and on behalf of the "Detsky Mir" Group by Board Member and Director for Interaction with Government Authorities Alexey Ivanov. Gleb Nikitin noted that a system of support for the children's goods industry is being consistently formed in the region—from consultations on government support measures and the development of cooperation to the inclusion of products from Nizhny Novgorod companies in social projects. According to him, the agreement with one of the largest federal retailers is an important part of this work.

      "It is fundamentally important for us to create conditions under which Nizhny Novgorod manufacturers can develop, expand their product range, and confidently enter large retail chains," emphasized the governor.

      Maxim Cherkasov, Minister of Industry, Trade, and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, noted that the agreement provides for several areas of interaction. It is planned to work out mechanisms for grant support for manufacturers of children's goods, implement a pilot project for developing cooperation with the retail chain's marketplace, and also introduce electronic certificate tools. Alexey Ivanov emphasized that the signing of the document is a continuation of joint work and already implemented projects for scaling regional production. According to him, cooperation contributes to supporting families—from the birth of a child to school—providing them with quality and affordable goods. He also noted the importance of developing electronic certificates and charitable programs. The Congress of the Children's Goods Industry is taking place in Moscow from May 12 to 14. It is organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia and the Association of Enterprises of the Children's Goods Industry. The Nizhny Novgorod Region has a stand at the venue, showcasing more than 150 product names from participants in the children's goods industry cluster. The exhibition includes furniture, textiles, childcare products, and play and educational solutions. The stand features several thematic zones: a rental space for toddlers, product areas for infants and teenagers, and a children's and teenage play area. A separate section is dedicated to multimedia content. Information about support measures for entrepreneurs in the region, including representatives of the children's goods industry, can be obtained at the "My Business" center (мойбизнес52.рф). It operates within the framework of the federal project "Small and Medium Entrepreneurship" of the national project "Effective and Competitive Economy."
