Four children and two adults were injured in a mass traffic accident in the Kstovo district.

      On May 11, 2026, at 18:10, Incidents: Six people were injured in a mass traffic accident in the village of Afonino, Kstovo district. This was reported by the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The accident occurred on May 11 around 14:30 near house No. 25, building 2 on Kazansky highway. According to preliminary data, a 20-year-old driver of a VAZ-2107 lost control and veered into the oncoming lane. There, he collided with a "Gazelle" driven by a 49-year-old driver. After the first impact, the VAZ continued moving and crashed into a "Lada Granta" driven by a 33-year-old driver. As a result of the accident, the drivers and passengers of the cars were injured: three minors in the VAZ-2107 and one child - a passenger in the "Lada Granta." All of them were hospitalized at Semashko Hospital. Earlier, it was reported that a 21-year-old driver died in an accident involving a "turnover" in the Shakhunsky district.
