The Nizhny Novgorod TV tower will be illuminated with festive lighting on Victory Day.

      On May 9, 2026, at 09:55, Society In the evening of May 9, the Nizhny Novgorod TV tower will join the celebration of the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. On this day, the RTRS branch "Nizhny Novgorod Regional Radio and Television Transmitting Center" will decorate the tallest structure in the city with thematic architectural and artistic lighting. Bright bursts of light will appear on the TV tower, symbolizing the memory of the soldiers' feats, as well as images of the Order of the Patriotic War and army stars. Important elements of the light panel will be illuminated in the colors of the St. George ribbon, reminding of the country's heroic past. The media facade of the TV tower will display the inscriptions "Victory Day," "May 9," and "1945." The festive lighting on the TV tower in the regional center will operate from 20:30 to 22:00. In Arzamas, Sarov, and Pavlovo, festive lights will be lit on antenna-mast structures at 21:00 as a sign of unity and solidarity of all residents of the region on this important day.
