Three people were hospitalized in Zavolzhye due to an incident at the production facility.

      On May 9, 2026, at 11:05, incidents occurred in Zavolzhye where a group accident took place, resulting in injuries to five employees of LLC "SHOTT FP," reports the State Labor Inspectorate of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      Recall that the company is engaged in the production of tableware for laboratory, pharmaceutical, and hygienic purposes, as well as ampoules and other products made of medical glass.

      According to information, the incident occurred on May 8 at 4:45 AM. Inspectors from the visual measurement department of the company were conducting work on product control, its geometric measurements, and packaging. Suddenly, they smelled a sharp chemical gas odor, which prompted them to immediately leave the premises. All employees noted a deterioration in their health.

      Three injured individuals were taken to the emergency room for medical assistance. The other two received necessary help at the scene of the incident.

      Ilya Moshes, the chief state labor inspector of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, reported that the State Labor Inspectorate is currently establishing all the details and causes of the incident.
