The general director of HC "Torpedo" revealed who might leave the team during the off-season.

      NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" - Polina Zubova The General Director of HC "Torpedo" Evgeny Zabuga shared details about the club's transfer campaign, the progress of negotiations with players, and potential changes in the roster for the upcoming off-season during the broadcast of the program "On the Line" (6+). Speaking about defender Anton Silaev, the director noted that a personal meeting with the hockey player and his agent is planned in the coming days.

      "With absolute certainty, we can say that in any case, Anton will remain in the 'Torpedo' system. If he decides to leave the KHL and go to North America, a binding qualifying offer will be made to him, and the sports rights will remain with 'Torpedo'," explained Zabuga.

      At the same time, Silaev himself is contemplating and understands that he still needs development within the KHL structure alongside 'Torpedo'. The hockey player has not yet announced a final decision. The club has already offered the player a contract extension. As for forward Vasily Atanasov, an offer to extend the agreement was sent to him in the second half of April. Due to family circumstances (Vasily recently became a father), the player took a pause for discussion. However, there is also interest in the player from one Western club.

      "I think that around mid-May we will determine the extension of the relationship. An offer has been made to him - the response is up to him," added the general director.

      Negotiations continue with forwards Vladislav Firstov and Yegor Sokolov, and the club is prepared for at least qualifying offers. Both hockey players are attracting interest from other teams. Zabuga separately addressed the situation with Maxim Letunov.

      "After I came to 'Torpedo' in the spring of 2025, he was immediately offered a contract extension plus one with improved conditions during this season. Maxim immediately expressed his position that he is more likely to wait for the UFA status and will make the decision himself, choosing the best offers. We accepted this position - that’s what the status of an unrestricted free agent is for," emphasized the official.

      Currently, teams from both the Western and Eastern conferences are showing serious interest in the hockey player. According to the club, he is being offered very favorable financial conditions. At the same time, 'Torpedo' is not ready to compete for the player through an auction method. According to Zabuga's assessment, it is highly likely that Letunov will continue his career in another club under more favorable conditions for himself.
