"The Flame of Memory" from the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier has been delivered to Nizhny Novgorod.

      May 7, 2026 10:51 Society Activists of the People's Front delivered a particle of fire from Moscow to Nizhny Novgorod from the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The event took place as part of the annual patriotic campaign "Fire of Memory," during which particles of the Eternal Flame are handed over to veterans of the Great Patriotic War and participants of the special military operation in regions and new territories of Russia, as well as to other countries. The campaign started on the eve of Victory Day at the walls of the Kremlin in Alexander Garden. From Moscow, the "Fire of Memory" was sent to hero cities, cities of military glory, and labor valor. The delivery of the particle of fire is carried out by the railways of Russia. The "Fire of Memory" has once again departed from Alexander Garden to various cities and countries. This time it will be delivered to 71 regions and 14 countries around the world. This is not just a tribute to our fathers, grandfathers, and great-grandfathers. On this day, we stand together again and understand the enormous price paid for several generations to live under a peaceful sky. With this fire, we will go to our new regions and to the guys on the front lines. We will pass the "Fire of Memory" across the bridge on the Amur, which connects Russia and China, remembering the liberation of China from Japanese invaders," said the head of the executive committee of the People's Front, Mikhail Kuznetsov. Representatives of the People's Front, members of the "Putin Team," public figures, military correspondents, artists, and athletes gathered at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, where particles of the Eternal Flame were transferred to special lamps. "The atmosphere in Alexander Garden, where we picked up a piece of the Eternal Flame, was inspiring! Indeed, it was about the unity of the people when we realized the feat of those who granted us freedom," emphasized the head of the regional branch of the People's Front in Nizhny Novgorod region, Alexey Generalov.
