Andrey Checherin evaluated the work of three Central District Hospitals in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

On May 6, 2026, at 17:52, the Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Andrey Checherin, visited the Voskresensky and Semyonovsky districts and Bor, where he, together with the regional Minister of Health, Galina Mikhailova, checked the work of the central district hospitals. Special attention was paid to the results of the implementation of the national projects "Sustained and Active Life" and "Family."

At the Voskresensk Central District Hospital, the delegation was shown a clinic with 360 visits per shift and a hospital with almost 100 beds. The guests inspected the dispensary rooms, surgical and pediatric departments, which recently underwent major renovations.

The head of the district, Alexander Zapevalov, reported that in recent years, the hospital has updated its treatment and diagnostic facilities, purchased equipment and furniture, and built several paramedic-midwifery points in the localities of the district. According to him, in 2025, five young specialists from different regions of the country were employed at the Central District Hospital.

During the visit, Andrey Checherin also noted the need for further improvement of the hospital town's territory.

At the Semyonov Central District Hospital, the delegation was met by the acting chief physician, Victoria Figareva, and the head of the district, Dmitry Poluektov. As noted by Galina Mikhailova, the hospital serves not only the residents of the district but also patients from neighboring municipalities. It has a primary vascular department, a trauma center, a perinatal center, and an outpatient oncology assistance center.

The minister reported that from 2026 to 2030, the institution will receive 517 million rubles under the primary healthcare modernization program. The funds will be directed towards updating the material and technical base. Repairs will begin with the perinatal center, where a modern women's consultation is planned to be created.

Following the visit, Andrey Checherin and Galina Mikhailova positively assessed the work of Victoria Figareva, who will officially head the Semyonov Central District Hospital in the near future.

In Bor, the delegation visited the new regional vascular center, which started operating in 2025 and reached full capacity in February 2026. In three months, doctors treated more than 300 patients, performed coronary angiography in over 200 cases, and more than 100 patients underwent stenting procedures.

Andrey Checherin noted that the vascular center serves patients from all over the northern part of the Nizhny Novgorod region, including from Semyonov and Shakhunya. According to him, more than 300 million rubles were allocated for the creation of the center.
