A digital system for monitoring the infrastructure of public utilities is being created in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      On May 7, 2026, at 07:04, Society In the Nizhny Novgorod region, a regional state information system for spatial development of engineering support is being created — RGIS PRIO. The project regulation was prepared by the Ministry of Digital Development and Communications of the region. The document is currently undergoing anti-corruption expertise.

      The system is designed to automate the work of the Ministry of Energy and Housing and Utilities and its subordinate institutions. Among its tasks are the formation of a unified reference database, automatic preparation of reporting, and reduction of manual work through single data entry. Information exchange with external systems and operation in a "single window" format are provided.

      RGIS PRIO will consolidate data on heat sources, their parameters and test results, apartment buildings, and heat consumers, as well as information on resource outages due to emergencies and planned work. The system will include geodata of facilities, information on available capacities, and schedules for connection and disconnection.

      A separate section will contain information on applications, emergencies, and outages, indicating their causes and the number of residents left without utilities.

      Through RGIS PRIO, it is planned to establish operational interaction between government authorities, resource supplying, and housing organizations during network emergencies. Boiler operators will be able to send requests to the dispatch service to call emergency crews. In addition, the platform will allow monitoring the preparation of facilities for winter and the issuance of readiness passports.

      It is expected that the implementation of the system will increase the resilience of municipal and energy infrastructure, especially during the heating season.
