The output of the Nizhny Novgorod utility company increased by 13% thanks to participation in the federal project "Labor Productivity."

      Experts from the Regional Competence Center (RCC) together with employees of the municipal unitary enterprise "Teplovodokanal" from Zavolzhye summarized the results of implementing lean production tools at the enterprise as part of the federal project "Labor Productivity" under the national project "Effective and Competitive Economy." The company carries out a wide range of activities: heat supply, water supply, wastewater disposal, operation and repair of engineering networks, construction and installation work, laboratory research on water quality, as well as storage and distribution of fuel. The process of conducting emergency repair work was chosen as the pilot flow, which accounts for 67% of the company's revenue. "Over six months, experts from the RCC together with the working group of the enterprise carefully analyzed the work of the pilot site and implemented improvements on three main problems that had the greatest impact on the flow. They optimized logistics to reduce wear on special equipment, reduced the share of manual labor, and improved the ergonomics of the locksmith's workplace. These and other changes allowed for a 13 percent increase in output in the selected flow and a 16 percent reduction in the time taken for emergency repair work—from 35 to 29 hours," said Maxim Cherkasov, Minister of Industry, Trade, and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The RCC experts also trained 19 employees of the enterprise in lean technologies and prepared two internal trainers who will be able to independently train their colleagues in the future. Systematic work is underway in the Nizhny Novgorod Region to increase labor productivity in housing and communal services enterprises. Eight companies in the housing and communal services sector have already become participants in the federal project "Labor Productivity" in the region. Five enterprises supply heat and electricity: JSC "Teploenergo," JSC "Electrosupply Company," municipal unitary enterprise "Teplovodokanal" of Zavolzhye, LLC "Spetsinvestproekt," and LLC "Volgoelectrosupply." Three companies specialize in water supply: JSC "Nizhny Novgorod Vodokanal," JSC "Dzerzhinsk Vodokanal," and LLC "Arzamas Vodokanal." To become a participant in the federal project "Labor Productivity," one must submit an application on the IT platform productivity.rf. A total of 318 companies have already become participants in the federal project in the Nizhny Novgorod Region. From 2019 to 2024, such support measures were implemented as part of the national project "Labor Productivity," and starting in 2025, as part of the federal project "Labor Productivity" under the national project "Effective and Competitive Economy."
