The square in Novinki will compete for improvement in 2027.

      The Enlightenment pavilion, children's play complex, sports pavilion with an amphitheater, and pedestrian bridge may appear in the square in the village of Novinki. The area is included in the list of facilities eligible for priority improvement in 2027 under the program "Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment," which is part of the national project "Infrastructure for Life." This was reported by the press service of the government of the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      The initiative to create a new public space covering 6.5 hectares was voiced by residents at a meeting in November 2025 and received active support. The preliminary concept of the square was developed by specialists from PJSC "DOM.RF" with the support of the Nizhny Novgorod administration and the Institute for Urban Environment Development of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The project takes into account modern standards for creating a comfortable urban environment.

      Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region Sergey Morozov noted that when including the square in the program, residents' appeals were systematized.

      "The uniqueness of the situation in Novinki lies in the fact that the KRT project, which will now include the improvement of the square within the framework of the national project, has become a catalyst for resolving accumulated issues," said the deputy governor and urged residents to actively participate in voting for the creation of new public spaces.

      The Ministry of Urban Development and Agglomeration Development of the region reported that as a result of interdepartmental cooperation, comprehensive work is underway to develop the infrastructure of the Novinki rural council. The municipality has begun implementing a large-scale project to develop water supply and sewage systems in the villages of Novinki, Kudma, and the villages of Kusakovka, Komarovo, and Sartakovo. This step is considered strategically important for the development of territories in the Bogorodsky, Kstovsky, and Arzamas directions.

      In the transport sector, bus route No. 111 "Nitel Plant - Komarovo Village" has already been launched, operating under a government contract and increasing transport accessibility for remote settlements. At the same time, the issue of attracting federal funding for the construction of sports facilities in Kusakovka is being worked on.

      First Deputy Head of the Nizhny Novgorod Administration Denis Skalkin emphasized that the example of Novinki shows how residents' voices within the framework of the "Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment" program can change the territory for the better.

      "If the square gathers enough votes, we plan to start developing project and estimate documentation this year," he added.

      Voting for the selected area can be done on the platform zagorodsreda.gosuslugi.ru until June 12, 2026.

      Recall that the national project "Infrastructure for Life" was initiated by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin. Its goal is to provide citizens with modern infrastructure. The project includes 12 federal areas, which largely continue the previously active national projects "Safe Quality Roads," "Housing and Urban Environment," as well as state programs of the Russian Federation. They provide for the development of road construction and housing and communal services, increasing road safety, and modernizing public passenger transport.
