The car manufacturer Volga has won the rights to the trademarks.

      May 6, 2026 10:47 Economy Arbitration courts have considered several claims from the Joint Stock Company "Passenger Car Manufacturing," which is establishing the production of cars under the Volga brand in Nizhny Novgorod. The company is seeking compensation for the illegal use of its trademarks by entrepreneurs and organizations from various regions of the country.

      According to the arbitration case registry, these are currently the first and only court proceedings of the joint-stock company. All of them are related to the protection of intellectual property.

      Thus, the Arbitration Court of the Moscow Region granted the company's claim against entrepreneur Kirill Savkin. The court ruled to recover 20,000 rubles from him for violating exclusive rights to the trademarks "Volga" and Volga, rendered in different font variations.

      Another decision was made regarding the Rostov-based LLC "Kemomail." The company was ordered to pay 10,000 rubles in compensation for selling a label "GAZ Volga" priced at 388 rubles on a marketplace. The court materials indicate that the plaintiff's trademark was used in the sale of the product without the appropriate permission.

      In addition, the Joint Stock Company "Passenger Car Manufacturing" filed a claim against the Vladimir-based LLC "Intersilverline." The company demands the recovery of 56,300 rubles in compensation for the use of images of "Volga" and Volga.

      Another claim has been filed against the Moscow-based LLC "Chronolux." The amount claimed in this case is 372,000 rubles for violating exclusive rights to the trademark.

      The consideration of these two cases is scheduled for May and July.
