Suvorov cadets from the Minsk school visited the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      Representatives of the Minsk Suvorov Military School (Republic of Belarus) have once again visited the Nizhny Novgorod region. The five-day visit of 51 Suvorov cadets to the region as part of the Victory Day celebrations was made possible thanks to a personal agreement between the governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Gleb Nikitin, and the leadership of the Republic of Belarus. Cooperation in this format has been ongoing for the fourth year, emphasizing the unbreakable bond between the peoples and the shared memory of the heroism of the Great Patriotic War. The Minister of International and Interregional Relations of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Olga Guseva, noted the importance of continuing this tradition. "We have prepared a rich cultural program for the boys. The participation of the cadets from the Minsk school in our events is an example of truly fruitful cooperation between the region and Belarus in the field of patriotic education, education, and culture. I am confident that this experience will enrich their worldview, allow them to learn more about the history of Russia, and will remain in their memory for a long time," emphasized Olga Guseva. A special program for their stay was organized by the Ministry of International and Interregional Relations of the Nizhny Novgorod region and the Ministry of Education of the Nizhny Novgorod region. "We are very pleased to welcome our guests from Minsk. For the boys, this is not just a trip to another country, but a significant life experience closely intertwined with an educational mission. After all, each of them is a future defender of the Motherland. A cadet can become a pilot, a sailor, or choose another path, but it is extremely important for all of them to know and respect the history of their country, as well as the history of fraternal nations. Belarus and Russia are allied states, connected by unbreakable ties of friendship and a common fate. That is why it is so important to preserve the continuity of generations and pass on the memory of the feats of our ancestors," said the Minister of Education of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Mikhail Puchkov. One of the points of the cultural program was a visit to Gorodets. In the museum and tourist complex "City of Masters," the Suvorov cadets were presented with products of the famous Gorodets painting and unique gold embroidery. At the exhibition, the guests also saw filigree wood carving, pottery, and traditional whistle from the jug makers. The best Gorodets craftsmen also demonstrated ancient techniques of working with clay to the boys. In addition, in Gorodets, the boys visited the Memorial Museum named after A. Nevsky and the House of Countess Panina. "This is my first visit to the Nizhny Novgorod region. The culture is very different from the Belarusian. I really like it here, the nature is beautiful. I was also interested to see the Volga River. I was very intrigued by the fabric and clay products in Gorodets," said one of the Suvorov cadets. The program will continue in Nizhny Novgorod, where the cadets will visit the Nizhny Novgorod Fair, Strelka, the Russian Museum of Photography, the Technical Museum, the "Limpopo" Zoo, and much more. "We are sincerely grateful to all the partners who supported our initiative and helped organize such a large-scale introduction to the region for the Suvorov cadets. It is important for the boys to see the beauty not only of Nizhny Novgorod but also of the region as a whole, and to feel our hospitality," added Olga Guseva.
