According to the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Volga Federal District, officers from the operational search department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, with the assistance of colleagues from the drug trafficking control department of the Transport Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Volga Federal District and with the support of the National Guard, detained a 36-year-old man who had set up the production of synthetic drugs.
It has been established that the previously convicted criminal organized an underground drug laboratory in a private house in the Ardatovsky district of the Nizhny Novgorod region.
During the inspection of the property, police discovered a chemical reactor, 40 canisters ranging from 5 to 65 liters containing chemical liquids, 37 bags with crystalline substances weighing over 37 kg in total, and equipment for the production and packaging of prohibited substances.
According to the results of the examination conducted by forensic experts from the Transport Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Volga Federal District, it was established that the seized powders contained narcotic substances.
According to available information, the substance was planned for sale in various regions of the Russian Federation.
An investigator from the investigative department of the Nizhny Novgorod linear department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia on transport has initiated a criminal case against the suspect on the grounds of a crime under Part 5 of Article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
During the investigation, the suspect has been placed in custody as a preventive measure.
