The mayor published photographs from the work sites and noted that utility workers face the consequences of improper waste disposal daily. "In these, let's say, nauseating photographs - the daily work of the emergency teams of the Joint Utility Operator. The black, unpleasant-looking mess is waste that should have gone into the bin but ended up in the toilet: toilet paper, wet wipes, baby diapers, and other personal hygiene items and more," wrote Yuri Shalabaev. The team spent several hours clearing the blockage, extracting about two cubic meters of waste from the pipeline. According to the mayor, the number of blockages also exceeds the level of 2024 by 35%. Daily, the emergency teams of OAO "OKO" make between 10 and 30 trips to eliminate blockages and clean the intake sections of sewage pumping stations. "This unpleasant statistic can be corrected through personal responsibility and the refusal to dispose of household and construction waste by flushing it down the toilet," he added.
