Nizhny Novgorod plant will establish production of molds for the automotive industry.

      On May 6, 2026, at 16:07, the Nizhny Novgorod company "MS Automotive," part of the MGC Group holding, launched a full-cycle production complex for the manufacture and servicing of high-tech tooling for the automotive industry with the support of the Industrial Development Fund (IDF). The products are in demand by the largest car manufacturers in Russia.

      Total investments in the creation of the production amounted to about 120 million rubles, of which 50 million rubles were provided as a preferential loan under the "Leasing Projects" program by the federal Industrial Development Fund.

      With the help of the IDF, the company acquired six modern metalworking machines for the tool shop, including five-axis milling and vertical milling machining centers, electrical discharge machines, and radial drilling machines.

      "Preferential loans from the federal and regional Industrial Development Funds remain an important mechanism for supporting the real sector of the economy. This tool helps enterprises launch new projects, modernize production, and maintain the stability of key industries as a whole. The automotive industry remains one of the most important directions," said Maxim Cherkasov, Minister of Industry, Trade, and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      He added that since the beginning of 2026, enterprises in the region have already attracted 653 million rubles in the form of preferential loans from the regional Industrial Development Fund. These funds are directed towards the development of existing productions and the implementation of new projects, enhancing the effect of regional and federal support measures.

      The introduction of new equipment has allowed "MS Automotive" to create a closed service cycle "from project to conveyor" for key car manufacturers, establishing the production and comprehensive repair of molds and other technological tooling necessary for the production of automotive components. In particular, the company's tooling is used in the manufacture of interior and exterior elements of cars, as well as plastic car seats.

      "The Industrial Development Fund has become not just a source of financing for us, but a strategic partner. The participation of the IDF has allowed us to create a tool complex in a short time, enabling us to provide a wide range of services to our customers. Now we fully meet the needs of our partners—the leading car factories—in high-precision tooling, ensuring its complete life cycle. This is a clear example of the effectiveness of government support measures for solving import substitution tasks," noted Alexander Britz, General Director of JSC "MS Automotive."

      The implementation of the project allows for increased productivity in the production of automotive components: prompt repairs, restoration of geometry, and the introduction of engineering changes in existing tooling are carried out without stopping the customer's conveyor.

      Products are made exclusively from Russian materials and raw materials, with a localization level of 100%.

      Ilya Tikhonov, Director of the Industrial Development Fund of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, reminded that during the entire operation of the federal and regional Funds in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, 253 projects have been financed for a total amount of 47.5 billion rubles. These funds were directed towards the creation and modernization of import-substituting productions, updating the equipment fleet, implementing modern technologies, and expanding production capacities.
