      On May 5, 2026, at 19:16, Incidents The Nizhny Novgorod Regional Court satisfied the lawsuit of the prosecutor's office for the recovery from the former general director of the "Nizhny Novgorod Water Canal," Nikolai Nikolyuk, of over 11 million rubles, obtained as a result of a corruption crime. A check was conducted on the enforcement of legislation on combating corruption. During this process, it was revealed that Nikolyuk received the money from a representative of a commercial company for patronage of his activities in contractual relationships with the resource supply organization. The prosecutor's demands were fully satisfied. Recall that in 2023, Nikolai Nikolyuk was sentenced to 15 years in a penal colony for bribes. He was also fined 190 million rubles.
