According to the regional State Traffic Inspectorate, a 43-year-old driver of a Scania truck, moving towards Ufa, crossed into the oncoming lane, where he collided with a FAW truck driven by a 44-year-old man. As a result of the traffic accident, both trucks sustained mechanical damage. The Scania driver was diagnosed with an open fracture of the right shin with bleeding, multiple soft tissue contusions, and a closed traumatic brain injury. Preliminary reports suggest that the cause of the accident may have been a malfunctioning steering system in the Scania truck.
