The Nizhny Novgorod businessman Dzepa wants to confiscate three resettled cultural heritage sites.

On May 5, 2026, at 14:11, the Society for the Management of State Protection of Cultural Heritage Sites in the Nizhny Novgorod Region initiated a lawsuit for the seizure of cultural heritage objects as part of the bankruptcy case of businessman Dmitry Dzepa. This was reported by "Kommersant-Privolzhye."

The lawsuit concerns three resettled houses owned by the entrepreneur on Gruzinskaya Street, which were previously recognized as cultural heritage sites without the owner's knowledge. Prior to this, authorities attempted to seize the buildings along with their plots in courts of general jurisdiction, citing the provisions of federal law No. 73-FZ.

However, due to the initiation of Dmitry Dzepa's personal bankruptcy procedure, his property that was not seized under the anti-corruption lawsuit of the prosecutor's office was included in the bankruptcy estate. For this reason, the courts of general jurisdiction refused to consider the agency's claims, after which the management turned to the arbitration court, where the businessman’s bankruptcy case is being heard.

Another property belonging to the entrepreneur—a resettled apartment building at 35D Bolshaya Pokrovskaya Street—also became the subject of legal disputes. By Dzepa's lawsuit, the Nizhny Novgorod District Court recognized the mayor's introduction of a state of emergency for the requisition of the building as illegal. Later, the regional court overturned this decision and upheld the regime. The businessman himself expressed a desire to appeal the ruling in the cassation instance.

It should be noted that Dmitry Dzepa, who is undergoing treatment in a hospital, has been accused of fraud in the execution of investment contracts. Under these circumstances, the court limited the entrepreneur's time to familiarize himself with the case materials. According to his defense, 17 days, including weekends, have been allocated to study 59 volumes. Soon, the businessman will be handed the indictment, after which the materials will be sent to the Nizhny Novgorod District Court.

Earlier, we reported that the court extended the house arrest of the heads of the Nizhny Novgorod regional pharmacy. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has channels on Telegram and MAX.
