      In the evening of mid-January 2026, at the final bus stop in Zavolzhye, the man had an argument with a 65-year-old bus driver. The reason was trivial: the driver refused to open the doors. The accused grabbed him by the jacket and sharply pulled him towards himself. The driver fell from the height of the cabin onto the icy asphalt, hit his head, and lost consciousness. After that, the accused, along with the driver of a neighboring bus, dragged the injured man into the cabin and left. The conductor called an ambulance. Doctors took the man to the hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery. A forensic medical examination established that the driver sustained a closed traumatic brain injury, a brain contusion, an intracerebral hematoma, and a fracture of the upper wall of the eye socket. All of this was collectively recognized as serious harm to health, dangerous to life.

      During the investigation, the accused was taken into custody. He partially admitted his guilt, stating that he did not intend to harm the driver so severely. However, the investigator disagreed with this. The suspect was physically larger than the victim, saw that he was sitting high above the icy asphalt, and should have understood how it could all end.

      The case with the indictment has been sent to court. Under the article, the accused faces up to 10 years in prison.
