The heating season will end in Nizhny Novgorod on May 5.

      With the end of the heating season, preventive work will begin as part of the preparation for the next heating season. The Joint Utility Operator (serving 53% of consumers in Nizhny Novgorod, excluding the Avtozavodsky, part of the Leninsky, and part of the Nizhny Novgorod districts) will switch its boilers and heating networks to summer hydraulic mode starting May 5. The sources of heat supply will operate only to provide consumers with hot water. It is noted that the decree on the end of the heating season is mandatory for all resource-supplying and managing organizations in the city, which must promptly carry out the entire range of necessary activities. Despite the challenging weather conditions with prolonged cooling periods and temperature fluctuations, the heating season at the company's facilities proceeded normally, with no serious accidents or prolonged outages recorded. Even compared to the abnormally warm winter of 2024-2025, the number of damages this season decreased by 5%. With the end of the heating season, scheduled preventive work will begin at the sources of thermal energy and the heating network complex as part of the preparation for the next heating season. As part of the repair program, since the beginning of the year, the Joint Utility Operator has already replaced almost 15 km of heating networks, completing one-fifth of the planned annual repair program. Recall that the heating season of 2025-2026 began on September 23. Hospitals, kindergartens, and other social institutions traditionally began receiving heat early upon requests from their managers.
