Three garden plots have been freed from water in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      May 2, 2026 17:34 Society Over the course of May 2, there were no reports of new flooding in the Nizhny Novgorod region, the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations reported. In the past 24 hours, three private plots of land have been freed from water. As of 3:00 PM, the flood situation remains in 12 municipalities. There are 58 private plots, eight low-water bridges, and five sections of roads in the flood zone. The flood situation persists in Nizhny Novgorod (Kstovo district), as well as in the municipal districts of Bor, Semyonov, Voskresensk, Volodarsk, Gaginsk, Pavlov, Pochinkov, Sergach, Uren, and Krasnobakovo. As a result of the flood, there are no casualties or injuries. Evacuation of residents to temporary accommodation centers is currently not required.
