      The Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region supported the repainting of taxi cars in orange. The parliamentary session took place on April 30. It should be noted that this way, regional legislation is being aligned with federal law. The bill states that the orange color will allow passengers to distinguish taxis in the flow of traffic. If adopted, the law will come into effect on September 1 of this year. Such rules have already been implemented in several cities, including Moscow. Additionally, vehicles that have already received permission to operate before September may not change color until their license expires (its validity period is five years). Deputy Yevgeny Babaev ("United Russia") noted that there is a global practice where business-class vehicles are black. This practice is also in effect in Moscow. The chairman of the transport committee, Vladimir Soldatenkov ("United Russia"), responded that this issue will be examined in more detail by the second reading.

      The bill was adopted in the first reading, with 34 votes in favor and four deputies abstaining.
