Star of "Interns" Ilya Glinnikov: "I love wandering around Nizhny Novgorod"

      The artist shared that he has visited the Volga capital multiple times - coming here with performances, as well as for a concert of his friend Alexander Ilyin Jr. and his punk rock band "Plan Lomonosov."

      "I really love Nizhny Novgorod. And I say this not because I am standing here now, but because it is probably one of the Orthodox centers of Russia. There are not many cities with such an ensemble of churches as in Nizhny Novgorod. I really enjoy wandering around here," Glinnikov confessed.

      He also noted that during his last visit, he attended services in several monasteries.

      "It was winter. I remember it as if it were now: I was wandering alone, snow, a bridge... It was a very cool feeling," the actor smiled.

      When asked about possible filming in Nizhny Novgorod, Glinnikov, who is trying his hand at directing, emphasized that the choice of location should be justified by the script.

      "Sometimes you see the same location often in films, and it becomes clichéd," he explained.

      According to him, the city has "a lot of beauty," but during filming, it is important not to lose the content.

      "Because if you go for beauty, you will lose the essence. And the content is more important at first. So if there is a script to shoot it, say, in Nizhny Novgorod, why not? That would be great," the actor added.

      At the same time, Ilya Glinnikov emphasized that he would like to find new locations in the city that would be interesting for the locals to look at.
