In Dzerzhinsk, the police solved the theft of a bicycle from the entrance.

      In early April, a 44-year-old local resident approached the duty unit of Police Department No. 1 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the city of Dzerzhinsk with a report of theft of personal property. The woman reported that an unknown person, by breaking the locking device (cable lock), stole her bicycle, which was left on the stair landing of the first floor of the entrance of a house on Oktyabrskaya Street, causing material damage to the victim in the amount of 12,000 rubles. During the operational-search activities, the criminal investigation officers identified the suspect and detained him. He turned out to be a 37-year-old man with multiple previous convictions. The stolen bicycle was seized from a pawnshop on Chkalov Avenue and returned to its rightful owner. The woman thanked the police officers for their assistance: "I express my deep gratitude, we are very happy! Thank you to everyone who participated and helped quickly return our loss." A criminal case has been initiated against the offender by the investigative authority under paragraph "b" of part 2 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (theft committed with significant damage to a citizen). The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 5 years.
