Since the beginning of the tick activity season, 322 people have sought medical attention in Nizhny Novgorod medical institutions, including 97 children. As of April 29, cases of tick attachment have been registered in 42 municipalities of the region, as well as in five districts of Nizhny Novgorod - Avtozavodsky, Kanavinsky, Leninsky, Soviet, and Prioksky. The highest number of reports was recorded in the urban district of Bor - 36 cases. This is followed by the Kstovo district - 22 cases, the urban district of Vyksa - 18, and the Soviet district of Nizhny Novgorod - 16. There were 15 reports registered in the Vetluzhsky district and Dzerzhinsk, and 14 in the Pavlovsky district and the urban district of Pervomaisk. Overall, the number of victims is 58.6% lower than the average long-term indicators. Specialists have laboratory-tested 374 ticks removed from people. Borrelia were found in 44 of them - the infection rate was 14.9%. In addition, one tick was found to be infected with ehrlichiae - 0.4%. Emergency prevention with anti-tick immunoglobulin was administered to 59 people, of whom 57 were children. Vaccinations against tick-borne viral encephalitis were given to 3,833 residents of the region, including 381 children. The region has begun the period of acaricide treatments of territories. As of April 27, they have been conducted over an area of 17,990 hectares. In particular, 10 hectares have been treated in health institutions of the Diveevo district, as well as 4.99 hectares in the territories of schools and kindergartens in Vyksa, Lyskovo district, and in the Kanavinsky, Moskovsky, and Sormovsky districts of Nizhny Novgorod.
