140 participants of the Special Military Operation underwent treatment in rehabilitation centers.

      The Social Fund of Russia's branch in the Nizhny Novgorod region issued 244 referrals for sanatorium treatment and rehabilitation of demobilized veterans of the special military operation during the past period of 2026. This was reported by the press service of the SFR. 140 people have already undergone treatment. Combat veterans can not only receive treatment but also choose a convenient time for their trip. Sanatorium treatment can be received once during the calendar year at one of the 12 rehabilitation centers of the Social Fund located in various regions of Russia. The duration of sanatorium treatment is no more than 21 days. Veterans are also provided with free transportation to the rehabilitation centers. Previously, they were reimbursed for incurred expenses, but now they are also provided with electronic travel tickets and personalized referrals. Additionally, participants of the special military operation with a first group disability or those needing medical accompaniment are sent for treatment in rehabilitation centers along with their companions. The Social Fund branch in the Nizhny Novgorod region covers their travel, accommodation, and meals.
