More than half a million spectators attended the INTERVALS festival in Nizhny Novgorod.

      April 28, 2026 14:41 Culture and Leisure T2, a Russian mobile operator, summarized the results of the international media arts festival INTERVALS'26. This year, the event was attended by more than half a million people. Street locations were particularly popular, including the joint project of T2 and dreamlaser called Transmission.

      In 2026, the festival took place at 19 locations. Digital artists from different countries were able to reinterpret key urban locations - the Chkalov Stairs, the cape at the Arrow, Sverdlov Square, and many others. In total, the event was attended by 530,000 people, mainly locals from Nizhny Novgorod, as well as guests from Moscow, Kazan, Samara, and other cities.

      In Alexander Garden, one could see the Transmission installation from T2 and the dreamlaser studio. The idea of the project was based on the principle of mobile communication development - each person entering the installation's coverage area "loaded" the network. The light scenarios of the object depended on the number of viewers - ranging from calmer to powerful and dynamic. Therefore, each guest became part of the light show, rather than just an observer.

      T2 first supported the INTERVALS festival in 2021. At the event venues, the company not only demonstrates its technological leadership but also helps make the event even more large-scale and attract studios and artists from around the world.

      "The INTERVALS festival shows year after year that technology is a universal language of communication, where authors gain new opportunities for dialogue with the audience. And we see that interest in media art is growing, as the number of festival guests this year increased by tens of thousands. As a mobile operator, we will continue to make efforts to ensure that Nizhny Novgorod remains a comfortable city for subscribers, where art and digital can coexist and develop in the same plane."
