A Nizhny Novgorod resident stole flowers from a store and gave them to passersby - video

      On April 28, 2026, at 16:14, Incidents: Police detained a young man who robbed a flower shop in the Sormovsky district. This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region. The young man broke the door in the evening and entered the retail outlet on Dubravnaya Street, taking a bouquet with him. He returned to the shop several times, grabbing a new floral arrangement each time. In total, the criminal stole goods worth five thousand rubles.

      The identity of the 18-year-old thief was established by the criminal investigation department. The detained individual had previously been convicted of property crimes. He confessed to the crime and stated that he gave the stolen bouquets to passersby on the street. A criminal case has been initiated under part 2 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (theft). During the preliminary investigation, the young man will be under a travel restriction. It is noted that the damage caused to the shop has not been compensated.
