Nizhny Novgorod's "Chaika" lost to "Loko" in the second match of the Kharlamov Cup semifinals.

      April 26, 2026 15:40 SportsNizhny Novgorod's "Chaika" was unable to take revenge in the second game of the semifinal playoff series of the Kharlamov Cup against "Loko". The match in Yaroslavl ended with a victory for the hosts with a score of 4:1.

      The score was opened in the very first minute of the match — the players of "Loko" scored. By the middle of the first period, the Yaroslavl team doubled their lead.

      In the second period, neither team managed to score. However, at the beginning of the third period, the hosts extended their lead to 3:0.

      The Nizhny Novgorod team tried to reduce the deficit. In the 48th minute, Viktor Fyodorov converted a power play and scored the only goal for "Chaika" in this match.

      Nevertheless, the intrigue lasted for a short time. Less than 40 seconds later, "Loko" sent the fourth puck into Marat Sabitov's net, establishing the final score — 4:1.

      Thus, the Yaroslavl team strengthened their position in the series.

      The continuation of the rivalry will take place on April 29 and 30 in Nizhny Novgorod, where "Chaika" will try to change the course of the semifinal.

      It was previously reported that "Torpedo-Gorky," competing in the VHL, may close down this year.
