The repair project for the damaged "Meteor" in Sormovo is ready.

      April 24, 2026 10:56 Society Specialists have completed the inspection of the "Meteor" monument in the Sormovsky district of Nizhny Novgorod and recorded deformation in the upper part of the body. Based on the inspection results, a conclusion has been prepared, on the basis of which project and estimate documentation for restoration work has been developed, the district administration reported. The project documentation is undergoing verification. Upon completion, an auction will be announced to select a contractor who will carry out the repairs. It is worth noting that the damage was discovered on the morning of March 3. At that time, specialists recorded deformation in the upper part, and the adjacent area was promptly closed off. The district administration also reported on cooperation with the Central Design Bureau for Hydrofoils named after R.E. Alekseev.
