A new "Victory Car" has started operating in the Nizhny Novgorod metro, dedicated to 10 employees of the Volga-Vyatka regional department for combating organized crime (RUBOP), who died in the line of duty. The exhibition features information about the heroes from Nizhny Novgorod: Major Pyotr Pronin, Captains Andrei Evlampiev and Alexei Chistyakov, Senior Lieutenants Alexander and Alexei Kudryavtsev, Andrei Prime, Pavel Romashov, Veniamin Starostin, Dmitry Syabaev, and Lieutenant Alexei Vereshchagin. Thirty years ago, they went to assist comrades who were ambushed and were killed. All officers were posthumously awarded the Order of Courage and are permanently listed in the personnel records of RUBOP by order of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Russia. Their names are immortalized on the memorial to fallen officers and the "Wall of Memory" of the regional police department, on the memorial at the city police building, on the monument to special forces fighters at the SOBR base, as well as in departmental museums. The opening ceremony was attended by the leadership of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region, representatives of the Public Council under the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Public Organization of Veterans of Internal Affairs of the Nizhny Novgorod region, the leadership of the Nizhny Novgorod metro, Victory volunteers, relatives, and colleagues of the fallen. The initiative for the project was taken by the Nizhny Novgorod regional branch of the All-Russian public movement "Volunteers of Victory," headed by Maria Samodelkina, a member of the Public Council under the regional police department. The participants of the ceremony honored the memory of the fallen with a moment of silence and made the first trip in the new car from the "Proletarskaya" station to the "Gorkovskaya" station. The "Victory Car" has become part of a train that unites three eras of defending the Fatherland: the Great Victory car, dedicated to veterans of the Great Patriotic War, the car in memory of the heroes of SOBR, and the car dedicated to participants of the special military operation. Since 2023, the Nizhny Novgorod "Volunteers of Victory" have decorated 9 metro cars, 27 tram cars, and 2 train cars. They are dedicated to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War, the special military operation, as well as the Victory technology produced by factories in the Gorky region for the front. Among them is a tram dedicated to law enforcement officers - Heroes of the Soviet Union and Heroes of the Russian Federation.
