The Sormovsky Housing Maintenance Office was ordered to pay compensation for a tree that fell on a car.

      April 24, 2026 13:35 Society The Nizhny Novgorod District Court ordered the management company to pay compensation for a tree that fell on a car. This was reported by the press service of the regional court.

      The incident occurred in November 2024. The tree was growing near a building serviced by the "Sormovskaya Management Company." As a result of the fall, the car was damaged.

      The court concluded that the management company had improperly fulfilled its duties regarding the maintenance of the adjacent territory. The amount of material damage was 411,900 rubles.

      The court left the claims against the administration of Nizhny Novgorod unsatisfied. The "Sormovskaya Management Company" was partially ordered to pay 411,900 rubles in material damages, 5,000 rubles in compensation for moral harm, a 100,000 ruble fine, and court costs.

      The court's decision has not yet entered into legal force.
