The industrial tour at the Avtozavodskaya CHPP has started as part of the "More than Work!" program.

April 23, 2026 13:20 Society In Nizhny Novgorod, 14 students from Vyatka State University majoring in "Thermal Engineering and Thermal Power" are undergoing internships as part of the "More than Work" program. In 2025, the group "EN+ HEAT VOLGA" (which includes the Avtozavodskaya CHPP) won the "More than an Employer" competition from the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs ("Rosmolodyozh.Profi"). "Today, it is not enough to just talk about a vacancy — you need to let them 'try' the profession 'by touch.' This internship is a full immersion into the profession. It is important for us that students not only see modern equipment and working conditions at the Nizhny Novgorod enterprise but also receive real tools to start their careers. Projects like 'More than Work' help address the staffing issue not with theory, but with the genuine interest of youth in thermal energy," noted the Minister of Youth Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Svetlana Anufrieva. The main goal of the internship is to introduce students to the work of the largest energy enterprise in the region. Over two days, students meet with the company's top management, visit production areas of the Avtozavodskaya CHPP, learn about working conditions, opportunities for young specialists, attend a master class on resume writing, and improve their interview skills. During the tour of the Avtozavodskaya CHPP, the young people visited the chemical and boiler-turbine shops, saw the control panel for the entire station, and learned about the work of a psychologist in maintaining the psychophysiological state of employees. They also tried their hand at a VR simulator used for training employees on labor protection and industrial safety programs. "The 'More than Work' project helps young people find their professional path. Our company's participation in this initiative is a vivid example of how business and government can effectively interact to engage youth in the real sector of the economy," noted Olga Dvortsova, HR Director of "EN+ HEAT VOLGA." Students were selected by specialists from the "More than Work" project from among partner universities, according to the company's profile. On the final day of the internship — April 24 — a visit to the youth center "HEIGHT," an educational session, and a presentation of opportunities in the field of youth policy in the region for the development of students and working youth are planned.
