This was reported to NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" by the press service of the regional court. The court denied the investigator of the Investigative Committee's request to extend the arrest. Instead, it supported the defense's request to soften the preventive measure. As a result, Koshelev was released from the pre-trial detention center and placed under house arrest until June 21, 2026, inclusive. Roman Koshelev was detained on February 27. The former head of the autonomous non-profit organization is accused of receiving a large bribe. According to the investigation, he facilitated the conclusion of a contract worth 50 million rubles with a certain company. For this, as well as for general patronage and signing the act of completed work, investigators believe he received 800,000 rubles. It was previously reported that a week ago the director of the Institute of Demographic Development, Evgeny Zhuravlev, was released from the pre-trial detention center.
