According to Alexey, he wants to acquire competencies during the training that will help him implement his own socially significant projects. First and foremost, the participant hopes to develop leadership qualities, management skills, strategic thinking, and planning. "I learned about the program from acquaintances. I had doubts, but interest, curiosity, and a desire for new achievements prevailed. In the foreseeable future, I plan to implement my project aimed at preserving the historical heritage of the region. It involves creating a map and a tour route," shared Alexey Kozlov. Alexey's mentor in the program is the Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Yegor Polyakov. Individual internships took place at the NPC 'BAS', the ANO 'Gorky Tech', the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Property and Land Relations, and the Ministry of Communications and Digital Development of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. "Yegor Nikolaevich is a wonderful mentor, an excellent manager; I have formed an exclusively positive opinion about him and his team," says Alexey Kozlov. It is worth noting that the program 'Heroes. Nizhny Novgorod Region' is aimed at integrating and employing participants and veterans of the special military operation into the system of public administration. In March 2025, an agreement was signed between the government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, RANEPA, and KUPNO on cooperation in implementing this program. On March 31, registration for participation in the program 'Heroes. Nizhny Novgorod Region' ended. During the selection campaign, 1,613 applications were received from residents of Nizhny Novgorod. Based on the total scores from the questionnaire, testing, online interviews, and assessment, as well as the results of in-person interviews with the Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Andrey Gneushev, 60 participants were selected for the main educational program and 30 people for inclusion in the next cohort of the program upon returning to the region.

      On August 4, 2025, the official opening of the training for the program 'Heroes. Nizhny Novgorod Region' took place, with the participation of the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Gleb Nikitin. 60 people selected for participation in the educational program began their training.
