Municipal parking in Nizhny Novgorod will increase to 11,000 rubles.

      On April 22, 2026, at 5:30 PM, the Society announced that parking rates at the Municipal Institution "Automotive Management of the Administration of Nizhny Novgorod" will increase starting June 1, 2026. The corresponding decree has been published on the city hall's website.

      The cost of a parking space in a closed heated garage will rise from 10,000 to 11,000 rubles per month. Parking a car in an open area will increase from 7,000 to 8,000 rubles.

      It should be noted that the Municipal Institution "Automotive Management" provides transportation services for the city administration and the city Duma, is responsible for the safety and proper condition of property, including the vehicle fleet, and also offers transportation and related services to individuals and legal entities.

      The institution is also entitled to earn money by providing paid services, including car washes and parking.

      Additionally, it is worth mentioning that there are currently 110 paid parking zones in Nizhny Novgorod across 81 sections of the street and road network. In 2025, the activities of these zones contributed 182.2 million rubles to the city budget. It was previously reported that the number of parking zones may increase in 2026; however, there are no plans to raise the hourly parking rate, which currently stands at 60 rubles, with the first 15 minutes remaining free.
