      On April 29, the Volga Federal District will participate in the marathon organized by the "Knowledge" Society, dedicated to the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia. The event is being implemented as part of the national project "Youth and Children." In Nizhny Novgorod, state and public figures, scientists, athletes, and representatives of culture and art will speak before schoolchildren and students. The organizer of the marathon is the "Knowledge" Society. Participants of the upcoming event were greeted by the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District, Igor Komarov. He emphasized the importance of the unity of the peoples of Russia for the country's development and noted the role of educational initiatives in working with youth. The goal of the marathon is to demonstrate the unity of the peoples of Russia as the foundation for achievements in the economy, science, sports, culture, and art. In Nizhny Novgorod, speeches are planned by Alexey Likhachev, General Director of the State Corporation "Rosatom," writer and Colonel Zakhar Prilepin, three-time Olympic champion, TV presenter, head of the Water Theater and Center for Synchronized Swimming, Moscow City Duma deputy Maria Kiseleva, aerospace engineer, science popularizer, ambassador of the "Knowledge" Society Denis Prudnik, theater and film actor Ilya Glinnikov, chef, musician, and host of the show "Let's Go, Let's Eat!" Federico Arnaldi, and others. The "Knowledge.First" marathon will take place in all federal districts of the country and will unite more than 18,000 participants. More than 100 lecturers will speak for them. On the first day, meetings with youth will take place in Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Makhachkala, Tver, Barnaul, Yakutsk, Novy Urengoy, Naryan-Mar, and the Donetsk People's Republic. On the second day, the program will continue in Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod, and on the third day in Moscow and Astrakhan. The main venue will be the Central Exhibition Hall "Manezh." Broadcasts of the speeches will be available on the "Knowledge" Society's website, in the official group of the organization on "VKontakte," as well as in district communities. The first federal educational marathon "Knowledge.First" was organized in May 2021. Since then, ten marathons have taken place, during which more than 1,600 meetings of youth with outstanding individuals were held. Broadcasts of the events have garnered over 1.3 billion views.

      The "Knowledge" Society is the largest educational organization in Russia and conducts events aimed at popularizing scientific knowledge and demonstrating domestic achievements in various fields. Since its reboot, the community of lecturers has united 32,000 people who have conducted over 256,000 lectures in 89 regions of the country. 8,100 hours of educational content have been created. Online broadcasts and video materials have collected over 5 billion views.
