The court canceled the road repair contract in Vyksa due to a bribe from an official.

      April 22, 2026 12:50 Incidents The Bogorodsky City Court declared the municipal contract worth over 8 million rubles invalid. This was reported by the court.

      The case concerns a contract signed on September 25, 2017, between the administration of Vyksa and LLC "ErikStroy". The company was supposed to repair access roads and arrange a turnaround area for the physical culture and health complex for 8.1 million rubles.

      A prosecutor's inspection found that the document was signed in violation of the legislation on the contract system.

      In 2023, the head of the administration department responsible for the execution of the contract on the part of the customer was convicted of accepting a bribe. For a reward of 5% of the contract amount, he informed the company in advance about the planned works, their volume, and cost before the official publication. This gave the contractor an advantage when participating in electronic auctions. Additionally, the official accepted and paid for the work before it was actually completed.

      The prosecutor's office filed a lawsuit to declare the transaction null and void. The court granted it. The company will have to return the funds received under the contract to the customer. The decision has not yet entered into legal force.

      It was previously reported that the former city manager of Nizhny Novgorod, Oleg Kondrashov, was sentenced in absentia to ten years in a strict regime colony and fined 340 million rubles for bribery.
