This is reported by "Kommersant-Privolzhye". To this end, it is planned to amend the regional law on land relations regulation. If the amendments are adopted, plots for the construction of data centers will be able to be provided to investors without conducting auctions. The regional government explained that today most data centers in the region are created by investors for their own needs or for specific clients. At the same time, existing capacities are insufficient. The demand for placing equipment in data centers and for cloud services remains high. Authorities hope that the new rules will help accelerate digitalization and the development of artificial intelligence technologies.
