      In the Nizhny Novgorod region, due to prolonged snowfall, the number of road maintenance vehicles and the volume of anti-icing materials have been increased. This was reported by the Main Directorate of Automobile Roads of the region. The number of vehicles has risen from 277 to 332. All 56 road organizations and four bridge organizations are participating in the work, with 649 road workers involved and 70 teams formed. Employees of the GUD, responsible for the maintenance and safety of roads, are working in their assigned areas. They have been instructed to enhance control and provide operational information every 2–3 hours. If 598 tons of anti-icing materials were used on the night of April 19 to 20, the volume increased to 2,116 tons the following night. The increase is associated with the heightened intensity of precipitation and the need for more active treatment of the roadway. The cyclone that arrived in the region on the night of April 20 continues to affect weather conditions. Snow mixed with rain and gusty winds up to 10 m/s are observed, with air temperatures around zero degrees. On certain sections of the roads, there are reports of ice, glaze ice, and loose snow. Traffic on regional and intermunicipal roads is ensured, and no traffic jams have been recorded. There have been no significant complaints from the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate, passenger transport enterprises, or district administrations. Drivers are advised to take into account the difficult weather conditions when choosing their speed and to maintain a safe distance.
